Announcing New Board Member

Please join us in welcoming Eric Feris!

Eric is the father of two KODA boys, Leif (15) and Liam (2). He is an alumnus of Gallaudet University and started his first business venture shortly after graduating. In 2005, along with his wife, Moon, he co-founded Western Interpreting Network which provides high-quality interpreting services. He enjoys writing and has contributed humor columns to Deaf publications. He is passionate and outspoken about many causes including the environment, human rights, and communication access. Eric and his family reside in sunny Temecula, California.

He joins an amazing assembly of incumbent members of our Board:

Francine Stern, CODA, Interpreter (Legal, Theatrical & Educational), Member of SCRID, RID, NAD, CODA.

We look forward to kicking off the new year with a great foundation of support.

KODAWest Camp 2012

The Catalina Experience™

July 2 ~ 8, 2012
(Monday through Sunday)

The Catalina Experience™ will take you to White’s Landing ~

  • a gateway to Catalina’s interior and positioned on the island’s most expansive beach.
  • Included on their considerable acreage of pristine Southern California property are basketball courts, beach volleyball courts, large sports field for soccer and softball, and road access to the island’s interior. Their newly renovated dining hall and outdoor eating area is decorated with a Baja flair to give campers that “south of the border” feel.
  • Brand new tent cabins with the highest quality framed tent enclosures atop platforms that are positioned above the ground and include a front deck with installed bench railings.

Activities include organized aquatics programs such as snorkeling and kayaking, fishing, hiking, free swim time,
use of their telescopes for astronomy, movies on the beach, nightly campfires, and other exciting events!

Applications and deposits will be posted and accepted in January.
Early bird prices and regular prices will be announced soon.

Staff applications will be posted shortly.
(Staff must be available June 30th through July 9th)
