Camper Independence & Readiness Disclosure
KODAWest Camp is a group-oriented program tailored for children who can independently engage in daily camp activities. Campers must exhibit age-appropriate self-care skills and emotional readiness, including the ability to:
• Use the restroom independently, managing all toileting needs without assistance (including bed-wetting)
• Change their own clothing
• Adhere to group instructions and routines
• Follow camp safety and behavior policies
• Separate from parents or caregivers at drop-off and remain at camp without ongoing distress
• Engage in camp activities without one-on-one.
While some initial feelings of homesickness or separation anxiety are common, our program is not designed to provide individualized emotional or behavioral support beyond reassurance.
